Ludo: Anurag Basu Reveals Rajkummar Rao And Fatima Sana Shaikh Gatecrashed A Baarat; Same Scene Incorporated In The Film
In an interesting revelation, Ludo director Anurag Basu revealed how Fatima Sana Shaikh and Rajkummar Rao uplifted everyone’s mood when they saw a baarat passing by and jumped in to dance
The trailer of much-anticipated film Ludo was dropped online, a couple of days back. Helmed by Anurag Basu, the film stars- Abhishek Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Rajkummar Rao, Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Rohit Saraf, Pearle Maaney, Pankaj Tripathi, Asha Negi, Shalini Vats and Inayat Verma in pivotal roles. While the first rushes have left everyone surprised, director Anurag Basu revealed an interesting yet funny anecdote about two of his leading actors- Fatima Sana Shaikh and Rajkummar Rao.
In an interesting revelation, Basu revealed how Fatima and Raj uplifted everyone’s mood when they saw a baarat passing by and jumped in to dance. Yes, while shooting for Ludo, the duo gatecrashed a baarat and danced their hearts out and even called other crew members to join them. Rao plays a flamboyant character named Alok, Fatima portrays a character named Pinky.
Pinkvilla quotes Basu saying, “There was some issue with the costumes so the shoot was stalled for a while. Everyone was feeling low, which is when we saw a baarat passing by. Rajkummar and Fatima wanted to uplift the mood on set, so they started dancing in the baarat and one by one, everyone else joined in too, leaving the real baraatis stunned. I loved the scene so much that next day we created a ‘baarat’ and incorporated it in a scene for Ludo.”

Meanwhile, Ludo trailer gives us an insight of several stories running parallel. Ludo will see the light of the day on Netflix from November 12, 2020.
